Code of Conduct
Introduction
The Finnish Association of Purchasing and Logistics LOGY (hereinafter LOGY) is a not-for-profit, impartial association that undertakes to conduct its association activities with honesty and ethically. In addition to the code of conduct, LOGY complies with current legislation, international standards of association operations, and other binding obligations.
LOGY’s Code of Conduct governs, without exception, the manner in which all employees, volunteers, members of committees and management teams, and the board (hereinafter referred to as key persons). In addition, LOGY expects all stakeholder to commit to adhering to equivalent regulations and directives in connection with any operations with LOGY.
Anti-corruption and antitrust
LOGY condemns all forms of corruption, including bribery and unlawful restrictions on competition. LOGY operates in accordance with current competition legislation and does not accept direct or indirect inappropriate payment or other consideration intended to induce people to act contrary to ethical principles.
LOGY’s key persons act in accordance with the interests of its members and association legislation and avoid conflicts of interest. Key persons shall refrain from any connections considered unethical or contrary to competition law.
Inside information
Inside information exploitation is prohibited. LOGY and its key persons follow the EU Market Abuse Regulation and other national insider guidelines. Key persons shall under no circumstances disclose inside information to any non-insider, within or outside LOGY, including family members.
Confidentiality and privacy
LOGY respects the correctness and confidentiality of the processing of personal data and complies with applicable legislation. LOGY and its key persons respect the privacy and integrity of its customers and other stakeholders.
Good governance
All financial transactions are recorded in the accounts correctly, in accordance with good accounting practice.
Equality
LOGY treats all key persons and members fairly and equally. LOGY respects the UN Declaration of Human Rights and is aware of its obligation to take these rights into account in its operations. LOGY provides equal opportunities for success to all its key persons and members, regardless of gender, nationality, religion, race, age, physical disabilities, sexual orientation, political opinions, social or ethnic background, or business affiliation. Key persons are expected to act equally also outside LOGY’s operations. LOGY is a politically and religiously independent association.
LOGY has zero tolerance for harassment and abuse.
Fair working conditions and pay
LOGY employees are provided with decent working conditions and fair renumeration for their work. Employees are encouraged for personal and professional development and growth. LOGY does not accept child or forced labour in any form.
Health, safety, and education
LOGY provides its employees with a safe and healthy working environment and occupational health care and is committed to their continuous development. LOGY guarantees employees safe working conditions and adequate training to avoid dangerous situations. LOGY values lifelong learning and encourages employees to participate in various courses and training programmes that support their current or future roles.
Environment
LOGY adheres to the principles of sustainable development and considers it important that all significant environmental factors are considered in daily operations, projects, and future development.
