LOGY mentoring programme

Mentoring gives you ideas, contacts, and insight into both working life and studies.

The purpose of mentoring is to help transfer the know-how of an experienced professional to a younger player in the logistics or procurement field. The aim of mentoring is the professional development of the mentee and to help them clarify their careers. For a mentor, mentoring is a good way to examine one's own work and working methods.

Mentor

You are an expert in your own subject area and want to share your expertise, insight, and know-how. You want to spar the mentee, enabling them to develop into a strong professional.

Mentee

You are a development-oriented student of logistics/procurement or at the beginning of your career and you are in need of support and guidance from a more experienced expert.

Could you become a mentor?

Join us as a mentor if you are an experienced professional in procurement or logistics and want to help newcomers to the industry, i.e. LOGY’s student and Young Professionals members, by sharing your experience and tips.

Sharing knowledge is also a rewarding experience for a mentor, as it is an opportunity to reflect on one's own career, reflect on working life issues together and, in the best case, learn new things that can be utilised in one's own work.

You can arrange meetings and other contact with your mentee together so that they fit into both parties' schedules.

Do you need a mentor?

When you are thinking about the next step in your career, developing your own skills, or reconciling work and free time, the experiences and expertise of a more experienced person are often very useful. As our member, you can get yourself a mentor who is ready to spar you in the following situations, for example when:

  • you contemplate the future direction of your career
  • you want to know more about the specifics of a particular job or field
  • you wish for sparring in job search and job interviews
  • you want to expand your networks
