Belgium/Netherlands: DHL Supply Chain gets new contracts for drug delivery

The Life Sciences and Health-care division of DHL Supply Chain has obtained two new contracts from pharmaceutical companies Chiesi and Boehringer Ingelheim. DHL will store and distribute goods for Boehringer Ingelheim. Drugs will be delivered to hospitals in Belgium as part of a long-term partnership agreement. The deal also covers sample delivery to medical sales representatives in Belgium. The contract with Italian company Chiesi will be extended by five years. The previous deal covered Belgium and Luxembourg. The new deal will cover Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. The number of drug deliveries will increase from 6,000 per year to 8,000 per year.
