According to Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) Czech Republic, over 1mn m2 of logistical and warehousing space was leased in the Czech Republic in 2016, with the total space of modern warehousing space reaching over 6mn m2 for the first time. The vacancy rate is continually dropping, reaching only around 4% of all available logistical space. According to the developer P3, the fastest growing segment was retail and e-commerce in 2016, accounting for around 25% of all demand and expected to grow strongly in 2017 as well. According to another developer, Prologis, the demand for logistical space comes mainly from the automotive industry and retail.
