Denmark: Government limits truck drivers' rest periods

The Danish government has decided to limit the time that foreign truck drivers are allowed to use when resting at Danish lay-bys. The new time limit is 24 hours. The government has earmarked a total of DKK 20mn (EUR 2.69mn USD 3.21mn) for putting up signs to inform of this as well as for making sure that these rules are obeyed.
