Denmark: Maersk Line provides funding for customers

Danish container shipping company Maersk Line has provided funding on a test basis for its companies, particularly the export companies, in order to become more attractive among its customers. The test funding has been operated in four countries since 2015, and has recently started in the US. Vipul Sardana, Project Manager at Maersk Line, said that this is in line with company's mission to facilitate global trade, as access to funding is the second largest obstacle for global trade. Maersk Line has financed 150 customers with a total of around USD 100mn (EUR 89.33mn).
