Estonia's Port of Tallinn, was preparing for inviting an IPO to divest of the 30% minority stake and listing shares in Tallinn Stock Exchange, said the board chairman Valdo Kalm. According to Kalm, listing shares in stock exchange would take precedence over Port of Helsinki CEO Kimmo Mäki proposed acquiring shares in the Port of Tallinn. Kalm said there could be no swapping shares between the two ports in the near future but he expected the ports to cooperate within the Twin Port programme. Kalm praised the Port of Helsinki for interest in Port of Tallinn. The logistics expert Illimar Paul estimates the two ports swapping shares to increase transit freight volume for both Tallinn and Helsinki.
