Swedish transport company Godsservice has taken a plug in hybrid from truck manufacturer Scania into use for coffee deliveries from Swedish coffee roaster Löfbergs. The first ride was made in Karlstad on 14 February 2017. Löfbergs' CEO Lars Appelqvist noted that the solution is in line with Löfbergs' ambition to become the most sustainable coffee roaster in Europe. The plug in hybrid enables a decrease in carbon dioxide emissions by up to 92% and a decrease in fuel consumption by 18%.
