Magnus Kårestedt, CEO at the Port of Gothenburg, has stated that the new CETA trade agreement entered by the EU and Canada will be beneficial for the Swedish industry. Swedish exports of pharmaceuticals, cars, machinery and steel to Canada will gain significantly from the agreement according to Kårestedt. The European Commission expects a 20% increase in trade when the agreement enters into full effect at the beginning of 2017.
