Swedish shipping company Viking Supply Ships will decommission its subsidiary Transatlantic within 12 months. This is due to major loss after tax of SEK 92mn (EUR 9.34mn USD 10.17mn) in Viking Supply Ships in Q3 2016. This is yet an improvement from the loss of SEK 282mn in Q3 2015. Total revenue from July to September 2016 was SEK 235mn. Viking Supply Ships CEO Bengt A. Rem stated that the loss depends on unrealised currency change losses and write-downs in public service vehicles (PSV).
